Chapter VII 40

July 28, 2010

Maybe Ascalan is jinxed.

Transcript

Bludgeon turns to explain to Lewk, slowly.
Bludgeon: Ascalan is the father of the gods.
The General interjects;
General: But you’re only interested in his corpse.
Lewk stands back in shock.
Lewk: Corpse?

Absent-mindedly Bludgeon attempts an explanation.
Bludgeon: Yes, like one of your relics. It’s supposed to grant the might of the gods. But men only seem to inherit their hubris.

The General turns to offer further explanation.
General: Hellspa had it last. We recovered it last week. The melee outside is the consuls’ way of repeating Hellspa’s mistake.

As they walk on, Lewk withers behind the pair.
Lewk: Oh, so it’s the crusades again.

    Thanks again Bruudwin,

He was supposed to be adding the statement about the corpse, but considering the playbill style I suppose it doesn’t read that well.

Since you’re so diligent about reading the transcripts maybe you might like to think about submitting your own. Chapters 2 and 3 are totally untranscribed, and I’m too busy to write anything for them myself, if you, or anyone else who happens to be reading this have some time to write descriptions of what’s happening on a couple of pages I’d really appreciate it.

i’d be very willing to help. Lewk in the last panel/last line:

The General adds. Lewk withers behind the pair.
Lewk: Oh, so it’s the crusades. Again.

I also see lots of room to make things stronger with some minor edits as well.
