Maybe Alice was listening for sounds from inside the chest? It’s like the old tied-up-in-the-trunk-of-a-car-and-listening-for-clues, except the other way around.
So Nik is suspecting Grin, eh? I was wondering why she wanted Alice dead on the chapter front page. Because Lewk’s and Alice’s little games didn’t seem like a sufficient reason. Unless Nik has a secret crush on Lewk. Ooooh!
Well, he DOES have candy.
Nik is downright terrifying in the last panel. Maybe she learned more from Grin than he meant to teach.

@Gillsing: Dude, that’s just sick. And can you imagine how jealous Grin would be!? (yeah I’m sick too)
At this point Nicole should be able to tell it’s not Grin because of the lack of mocking laughter. Grin is like a honey badger in that he don’t care if he gets stabbed.
Blah, I should really put comic talk in the comic thread.
