Note: The following comic takes place between Chapter 4 and 5 of 70-Seas Proper.
Nikol is meditating by standing with one foot on the outter rim of the deck of the Unspeakable Terror. Lewk approaches her from behind with a small bird perched on his finger.
Lewk: Hey Nikol, Check out this babble finch I snagged on that Viking ship.
Unimpressed Nikol continues meditating.
Lewk: It can translate any word from Irlan to Etoese and vice versa.
Nikol: Really?
Lewk: Sesze.
Babble Finch: Ketsu.
Translation: Absolutely.
Nikol: AWESOME!
Nikol and Lewk play with the bird.
Nikol: Mechi.
Babble Finch: Feelo.
Translation: Fish.
Lewk:Loz
Babble Finch: Fose.
Translation: Water.
Nikol: Tenko.
Babble Finch: Loomeh
Translation: Drink
Lewk: Umm, Mello.
Babble Finch: Wedo.
Translation: Goat
Nikol considers her next word.
Nikole exclaims excited.
Nikol: Tunk.
Realizing her mistake Nikol scrambles to cover her mouth.
Lewk is paralyzed with horror at the lengthy translation being delivered by the babble finch. Nikol bows repeatedly in apology.
Babble Finch: Zoso molzfem comogk ze feltala lel celzog melloa.
Nikol: Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.
Heh… Tunk is Cunt spelled backwards with a K
